SACE has finalized a guarantee on operations for up to $1.14 billion with the Brazilian Development Bank BNDES (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social). According to the agreement, loans in local currency, guaranteed by SACE, will be issued to Italian companies and their subsidiaries or joint-ventures for production investments in Brazil

SACE confirmed a general upswing in results, with an increase of more than 20% in new business. On the basis of the results achieved, the AGM has resolved to distribute a divided of € 135 million, confirming a dividend payout equal to 40% of SACE S.p.A.’s net profit, as in 2007. Overall, the 2008 dividend is 5.5% higher than the € 128 million of the previous year
